Why is my period late?

Well I took a home pregnancy test and it said negative but I'm not sure exactly when im spose to get my period. All I know Is usually It's at the beginign of the month. My breast are tender and I've been having to Pee alot. And I have gas =/... And could I get a free pregnancy test at the doctors?

Thers no plannedparanthood around here btw

ohh and i have been having small cramps today.

A female's period can be late for so many reasons:

age (teens have a high incidence of late or missed periods)

pregnancy

stress

illness

weight loss

weight gain

eating disorders

fear of pregnancy

wanting to be pregnant

excessive exercise

illness, etc.

Truth of the matter is, no one but the doctor can tell you if you are pregnant. The symptoms do not matter as many women do not experience any at all and some that do, have a positive pregnancy test before they have any of the symptoms. And, others experience symptoms because they are either afraid of being pregnant or they want so badly to be pregnant. However, the very first symptom, will usually be a missed period. It is best to get a blood pregnancy test which is far more sensitive than a urine pregnancy test.

Call your local hospital or nearest hospital and ask if there is a free clinic or free pregnancy medical service in your area. If there is a place in your area, the hospital will be aware of it. The hospital will also know if there is a doctor on staff who provides free care testing to those who might be pregnant. Good luck!
