i kno there is a pill, but is there a patch?

Answer:

Most hormonal contraception can be adjusted as you're describing. In fact, the pill that only lets you have your period four times a year is actually the same dosage as many other pills. You just stop some at different times (or take a placebo) which brings on your period.

If you talk to your doctor, they can probably give you instructions on how to use the patch in a similar way. They may want you to have periods every other month instead of every three months. (Every doctor is different) But, you should be able to use the patch to reduce the number of periods to 4 times a year. Where I work it depends on the woman's medical history, but we've used both the NuvaRing and the patch to reduce the number of periods a year.

By the way, women on Depo-provera, which is a shot you get every three months usually stop having periods altogether. So, you may want to think about that as an option.
