Answer:

You can't tell for sure. The only way you'll ever know is to keep living and see what happens over time.

Look at me. I'm 19 and 5'5". My dad is 5'7" and my mom is 5'8". A lot of my relatives are in the mid 5 ft. area too. My grandfather was really short all through school, and then when he graduated high school, he shot up to 6'4". I was 4'8" all in middle school and early high school. It wasn't until Junior year sometime I started to grow more. I may still grow, but judging by my gene pool, it's unlikely.

You're dad's family is tall, and you are close to your father's height as it is now. So, yes, it is a possibility you can still grow. Who do you take after more? Do you look more like your dad or someone in your dad's side of the family, or your mom or someone on your mom's side? Compare it to that. If you're more your dad, I'd say it's likely you'll keep growing for a while. You never know for sure, but here is a fun calculator I found:

http://www.fitnessandkids.com/chp.htm... no more than 2 inches i would say Here is the best formula we have to predict height:

1. average the height of the mother and father

5'9"

2. add four inches for a male or subtract four inches for a female

6'1"

Looks like you have the potential to be much taller!
