A couple other herbs for anxiety you might want to look at that are safe for teenagers, and won't affect your daytime performance in addition to the important calcium are:

Damiana (Turnera diffusa) - this is a nerve tonic that has a wonderful calming effect.

And it smells really nice too. Valerian is a sedative and I wouldn't take it during the day. If you feel anxious, you need Kava Kava for that. St. John's Wort will help improve your mood without any sedative effect at all. I applaud your interest in herbs as a young person, but please don't take more than is directed on the bottle. Herbs are medicines and can be dangerous! PS... do you drink energy drinks? That will definitely give you jumpy anxious feelings. Be careful what you take, tell your parents what you take, and try to find quality herbs like Nature's Way, alright?
