Go here, it has everything you need in regards to healing after surgery, herbs, homeopathy and supplements. I don't know of any one particular vitamins...but I do not Vemma will help you as it has all the vitamins in it. Good recovery. The best thing for the muscle spasms is a prescribed muscle relaxant. There is not a vitamin in the world that will give you relief from those kinds of spasms. A regular multi-vitamin will make sure that your body is getting the vitamins that it needs. For joint pain (including back), try Glucosamine and Chondroiton. Also, being that you just had a major surgery that is associated with a lot of bleeding, your hemoglobin is probably low so an iron supplement would not be a bad idea. The thing that you really need most is rest, balanced diet, plenty of fluids (yes this really does help), and physical therapy as soon as it is prescribed!!! Good luck! When I was in labor with my son they tried to do the epidural and poked my spine 5 times. After the delivery they tried the blood patch and it didn't work for me either. The hospital tortured me for 2 more days and then I had my husband get me out of there. I went to a chiropractor who couldn't believe what I went through. The back pain and headaches were so unbearable due to the holes in my spine causing air pockets around my brain. (Yes, they did a brain scan at the hospital and found that out!) One treatment on my back and neck by the chiropractor and I was cured. I would recommend you find a good one and try that route. I firmly believe she saved my life! See if you can find one who is also into alternative medicine and kinesiology..
