Or are they just a placebo, i was highly recommended by a friend in work to take Spirulina for overall well being. I've been on them now for a few months and i honestly don't think I feel any different Answer:Yes they do. I have taken quite a lot of Vitamin supplements for about 35yrs and now at 75 I am 'Fit as a Butcher's Dog'! But they are a long term investment not a quick fix. People say "Eat a balanced diet and you don't near supplements etc"...... Trouble is your metabolism declines with age and you just don't get the full benefit of the grub you eat. TAKE VITAMINS YAHOOERS!!! Vitamin supplements, in general, are helpful. Some effects people 'see' tend to be from the basic ones, like a multiple vitamin; after a couple of months on those, one may noticed inproved hair and nail growth, less anxiety, and/or a boosted immune system. Some more obscure supplements can boost other aspects of one's health ... and are more effective for some people than for others (for example, because some people may be missing the nutrient and their bodies may respond with noticeable results, while other people's diets may have included enough stuff that they never noticed a problem --- think of a person who doesn't eat much with iron vs a person who does and put both on the iron-rich multi; the woman who has missed out on iron may have had mild anemia and may find she feels stronger once she has the multi). |
