What symptoms did you suffer, how are you now? Did any healing happen after the 18 month - 2 year period? I fractured my skull and had brain bruising, now left with partial double vision, no sense of smell, I get so tired, I've been told that most of the healing takes place in the first 18 months, have you improved after this period?

Yes you will improve but dont expect to get too much like your sense of smell back .
