Answer:

I don't know about Florida, but I know Georgia does have the EMT-I certification. I am a Georgia and Nationally Certified Critical Care Paramedic.

Also, every service that I've worked for in Georgia will only hire an EMT-I, the EMT-B is pretty much obsolete. The last service that I worked for would only hire a "B" as a non-emergency (wheelchair van) driver. They wouldn't even hire a "B" as a dispatcher.
