when ur doing push up and sit ups what does the burn fealing mean? im trying to gain weight and pack on muscle. i dont want to be doing push ups and losing weight. if i did 200 push ups & sit ups a day how long does it usally take when you start to see a change Answer:the burn means you're running low on energy because your body is building up waste (lactic acid) faster than it can get rid of it. that's the chemical part. the physiology part is that your muscles are tiring out due to the physical stress you put on them by working them. they'll tear on a microscopic level and heal over the next few days. this is when you get stronger and/or bigger, during the growing process. if your goal is to pack on muslce, your main goal should be to consume a few hundred calories each day. you won't grow without extra fuel. aside from that, you want to do the right workouts that'll promote the most amount of muscle growth, and that means working big muscles like quads, hamstrings, back, and chest. dumbbells and barbells are best, but if you don't have access to them, then focus on these three key exercises. push-up (for chest, triceps, and shoulders), pull-ups (for back and biceps), and full squat, going down all the way (for legs). |
