Will quitting weight training & going to cardio/light toning/stretching make my muscles get flab
Quickly Book mark.

In the past 6 months I stopped the weights, and went to all cardio, light toning (body weight resistance) and stretching. In the past 6 months I've also started to get a noticable loss of muscle tone...and my leg muscles seem to have softened to a much flabbier existance...even though I still work out almost every day. Not skinner legs...it's like they're the same size...but flab. :(

I never had flabby muscles before weight training...but it seems that now that I started weights, and then stopped...my legs look way worse than they ever did pre-weights.

By starting weight/resistance training, and then stopping...did I get myself into a worse state than I was before? Do I now have to do weighted lunges for the rest of my life to keep the flab away?!

Thanks for any help with answers, and also a remedy to my situation!

That's not funny, girl!! You may have to get into some jogging or running to lean up your legs again. Aerobics, or stretches are not enough to maintain the muscle you built in W/T, Four, thirty min. workouts jobbing a week will take care of the problem in a month or so. Good Luck, and keep up the fitness thing!
