  Answer:

laugh my head off....oh no i had it ! As compared to any other bacterial disease, the contagiousness of leprosy is very low as the bacterium itself is a very weak pathogen. So also most (95%)people exposed to infection, are immune and only 5% people can suffer from the disease after prolonged exposure. Taken from Wikipedia:

At highest risk are those living in endemic areas with poor conditions such as inadequate bedding, contaminated water and insufficient diet, or other diseases (such as HIV) that compromise immune function. Recent research suggests that there is a defect in cell-mediated immunity that causes susceptibility to the disease. Less than ten percent of the world's population are actually capable of acquiring the disease. The region of DNA responsible for this variability is also involved in Parkinson's disease, giving rise to current speculation that the two disorders may be linked in some way at the biochemical level. In addition, men are two times more likely to contract leprosy than women.

In other words, less then 10% of the population is capable of getting it, so catching it would probably be rare then that... Leprosy, now called Hansen's Disease from the man who discovered the bacteria that causes it.

Gives the highest risk to those living in areas with poor conditions such as inadequate bedding, contaminated water and insufficient diet, and diseases that compromise immune system. Less than ten percent of the world's population are actually capable of acquiring the disease.
