I am 21 years old and occasionally have streaks of blood after i poop? im fairly certain its hemerroids(spelling) but not 100%

how common is this?

Answer:

Its pretty common but not a lot of people talk about it. I have had this in the past, before I had my haemorrhoid's treated surgically. Usually, blood in a stool from high up in the GI track will make the stool black and tarry. Blood that is red generally comes from much further down in the track. Statistically, it's probably hemorrhoids (which eventually half of us will get in our lifetime), but I would get a check up at the doctor to make the diagnosis, since blood in the stool can also be (much more rarely) colon cancer and other more serious diseases.
