If so, did you find out what caused it, and even better, did you improve or cure it?

Answer:

This is an 'in' condition at the moment. It is little understood and is often mistreated as night cramps. It tends not to respond to things like quinine nor to simple pain killers.

The diagnosis is made by confirming there is a need to move the legs, usually accompanied or caused by uncomfortable, unpleasant sensations in the legs, these symptoms are worse with inactivity, relieved by movement and worse at night.

Bathing, exercise and massage may decrease symptoms. Two drugs now have distinct licences to treat restless legs, Ropinirole and Pramipexole. They are both drugs of a type similar to those used in Parkinson's, dopaminergics. Yes. But then I realised it was because your behind was just so juicy that my leg was itching to kick it. discuss it with your doctor, there is a product called Requip that can help. When it happens to me I get up and shower it seems to help. Good luck I have it, and there are medication for it. but it doesnt bother me enough days to get on meds and pay for them. its a disease I have RLS periodically because I have spinal problems and nerve damage. I used to take Quinine Sulfate capsules at bedtime but my insurance no longer covers it. I tried drinking tonic water at bedtime but the bitter taste got to me so I stopped. I heard an old story that said apple cider vinegar sprayed on the legs would relieve them and I thought...well, it can't be as bad as tonic water. And guess what? It relieved my restless legs and I got to sleep. I also tried the vinegar on a really bad charley horse and it stopped almost immediately. The verdict is still uncertain until I test it more but so far, so good. Read Dr Sarna's book. it's fantastic.
