I need mine out and I am wondering how lond it takes to recover(I have 4 kids) and of any other problems anyone has had??????

Answer:

i'm a surgical intern. it usually takes my patients about two days to feel good because i use laparoscopy.. then about a week to two weeks to get back to feeling normal. most of my patients don't ask for more than a week to two weeks out of commission.

but with kids.. wouldn't it be nice for a long, long vacation? haha

best of luck~ Nope My aunt just had hers removed a few months ago. She stayed home all that week, and then went back to work on a shortened schedule for a few weeks after that. Your doctor should be able to give you an idea of what to expect. Every person recovers from things like that a little differently. It depends, too, on whether you're doing the traditional surgery or the newer laser or arthroscopic surgery. I had my gallbladder out a few years ago. I had it done laproscopicly ( that is so misspelled) that is when they don't have to cut you open, so the recovery time was way less. I was at home for 2 days before I went back to work but I have a desk job so I guess it would depend on what type of work you do. It was painful at first but not that bad.

Good Luck My daughter in law had this done. At the time she had 2 kids. She done real well. She had the type where they made a small incision. She was doing everything she was before within a week. I would go with what the Dr. says. Everyones body isn't the same. My sister. She recovered after 3 weeks. she had a bit of nausea and throwing up and abdominal pain.
