If so, what kind of pain or discomfort did you have? Answer:Dear Stephani, Have you suffered a clot in your lung? I'm so sorry. I suffered a massive clot in 2004. My first symptoms were pain and swelling of my legs, as the clots originated from there. We did not know it was a clot, because at the same time, I was suffering hives and swelling. Next, I got very weak. I felt as though my head were under blankets, and all the air around me was stale. I felt like I was suffocating. Next, I developed pain in my upper lungs. Because of the hives and swelling, the ER misdiagnosed it as an allergic attack, and sent me home with steroids. Then I began to suffer pain in my back, and an excruciating pain in my jaw. I got a headache that nearly drove me insane. It was the lack of oxygen. After it was diagnosed, I was in the hospital nine days. Mostly, I suffered extreme exhaustion. Many people also experience severe lung pain, but I did not. Mine was not acute, although it did hurt. What was your experience? I am sorry if you too had to suffer through it. Be happy though that you're still alive! Take Care, Chris I had one about a year ago. A pulmonary embolism. The clot originated in my lower left calf and moved up to my lungs. I had a lot of pain in my legs for weeks following up to it and then When It finally went to my lungs, I passed out, was very week, my chest hurt, and I coughed up some blood. I also had an extremely high temperature and was very very weak. |
