Because cancer is not just one disease but about 200 different diseases that present in more than one stage and more than one grade of severity. Cancer is complicated by the human condition . . the age of the patient, the overall health of the patient (do they have secondary diseases), and the response the patient has to treatment. That's the bad news. The good news is that there is treatment and survivors of all types of cancer no matter the grade or the stage. So, in effect there are cures for some cancers . . but not one cure for all cancer.

You should also remind your son that there is also no cure for the common cold either. :-) tell your son that there probably is one, some where in a foreign country, they just don't want to share with us...atleast thats what I think! Tell him that scientits are very close, they just arent done with all of the tests yet. Because we haven't found it yet No one has found it, it isn't so easy to find cures to different ailments. It takes time. tell your son not to worry about it i feel bad for him and everyone else because all comercials stores people etc. talk about cancer this cancer that and theres STILL no cure so now they have our young kids worrying about it! I'm a nurse. There are many treatments for cancer patients. Many people have beat their cancer and now live normal lives cancer free. I think for the patients who fight, win the battle.
