You and your son should be immune to it, alhtough there may be some slight strain variation in it. Just be aware of the early symptoms, and observe you and your son for the first sign of them. You shouldn't need to be worried about this. One attack gives lifelong immunity. If you had German measles once, you cannot get it again. You will pass the antibodies to your baby, who will become immune to it for the first few months. Vaccination is not 100% successful. Your son may still get it if the girl in his school gets it. Otherwise, she cannot pass it to him from her sister.
