purpose in life and why you are here?

Answer:

YES, it is a dedication. You often feel called to it, and you make it your lifelong perogative. I have been in that sphere for 30 years and now I am retired I still do some voluntary work in the healing area. Don't know if your question included veterinarians, but we are considered health care professionals by federal law..... :-)

Yes. I can't imagine myself doing anything else. I had problems in school and sometimes thought I couldn't get there... I explored other majors, but I wasn't happy. I definitely feel like sometimes I'm not the right person for a particular case, and NOT afraid of confessing... but I still believe I am here to help people and their pets. I finally got here, and couldnt be more satisfied.

I feel this is my purpose, and this is what makes me happy and fulfilled. If I was put in this world for this or something else.... I don't know yet..... if I have a bigger reason to be here, I guess I'll find out when I'm 90 years old :-) In a word: Exactly. I'm not sure about it being WHY I am here but I do feel it was meant for me to do. We all have many talents and more than one purpose. It's just a matter of picking one and making the best of it. Yes, that's why it is called a vocation and not necessarily a career...

Particularly as (certainly in the UK) the pay can be abysmal, the working conditions appalling and the hours exhausting.

But the personal reward is tremendous.
