I found some information on WebMD, hopefully something on this list will be helpful...

-Keep the air in your home moist.

-Inhale steam from a vaporizer, or take long, steamy showers. You may also try breathing the moist air from a bowl of hot water. Put a towel over your head and the bowl to trap the moist air.

-Use saltwater nasal washes to help keep the nasal passages open and wash out mucus and bacteria. It also may help to gargle with warm salt water. (Use 1 teaspoon of salt per pint of water.)

-Put hot, wet compresses on your eyes and cheekbones if you have pain around that area. Washcloths dipped in hot water work well. Make sure the water is not too hot so you do not get burned.

-Avoid alcohol. It causes swelling of the tissue lining the nose and sinuses.

-Do not smoke or use other tobacco products.

-Avoid swimming in chlorinated swimming pools. Chlorine can irritate nasal and sinus linings.

-Use a decongestant nasal spray before or during airplane flights, especially during landing.

-Drink plenty of liquids to avoid dehydration.

-Exercise regularly. While there is no scientific evidence to support it, some people feel regular exercise improves their sinus problem.

Keep in mind that not all sinus infections can be cleared up without antibiotics. I've had a ton of them and antibiotics can be helpful. Sure I have seen them without a nose, but an infection... nahhhh Mix 4 cups water with 1tablespoon salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Get something to squirt it up your nose while hanging your head over the sink. Squirt in one nostril and it will come out the other nostril. Do this several times and then blow your nose.
