I'm sorry to hear that your father has Huntington's disease.

I do know about the 50/50 chance of offspring also developing the condition, but what I would say is that there's also a 50/50 chance that you won't develop it.

My advice to you would be to read up as much as you can now, just in case you do develop it. This will give you a clearer understanding of how it could affect you.

I pray that you are lucky in not developing the condition, and I also pray that your father doesn't suffer the more severe ravages of the disease. My cousins husband was diagnosed with that about 25 years ago. He is doing great. It is not without hope...We cant live on what if's or odds.
