Until you have been seen and evaluated by a urologist, one can hope but I agree you need to see a doctor about diagnosis and if necessary a workup as soon as possible. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! It's not diagnostic of it but it might as well be. Inflammation of the prostate can also cause this number to rise. 6000 is very very very high....unheard of. I wonder if you mean 6 or 60. Your best bet is to make an appointment with a GI for a colonoscopy. A PSA that high needs immediate medical attention. It might be possible that it is due to another more benign condition, but it definitely can be an indication of Prostate Cancer. |
