I recently started using insulin for my Type 2 Diabetes and I am feeling much better both physically and mentally. I have been treated for depression for about 10 years and I have been able to reduce the amount of antidepressants I need since I started the insulin. Has anyone else noticed a change in their level of depression when beginning insulin? Answer:With any illness, not limited to diabetes when the body begans to heal or feel better the mind seems to conincide with it. This makes a lot of sense. Congrats for feeling more mentally stable and best of luck to you. Diabetes sucks I'm not on insulin, but I certainly noticed an improvement in my general mood when I was started on treatment (Metformin). I felt alive again for the first time in ages. I have no idea...but I know that clay is a big help for diabetes and depression, too. read about clay on google, you'll find amassing things about it! I have not actually heard that about insulin before. I'm very happy for you! In my case, I am not at a point where I take insulin (only Metformin/Actos) but I felt better (physically and mentally) the moment I started exercising on a regular basis. For years, I thought the people that talked about a "runner's high" , etc were nuts but I am here to tell you, I feel a world different! |
