My friend told me her husband got an appliance from his dentist so that he wont snore. I am interested in this. Does anyone know more? Cost, type, success?

Answer:

My mom got a device from her dentist. I'm not sure about cost, but it was partly covered by her insurance. And she found it to be quite helpful. Snoring usually has little if anything to do with anything dental. An ENT (Ears, Nose, & Throat specialist) would be a better choice. dentists can do those appliance but it price wise it usually ranges from 500 up im not sure exactly how much it cost. they usually take an impression or mold of your teeth upper and lower and they send it to a dental laboratory where in they made those appliance, i heard a quite few of patients that using this that at first its uncomfortable to use but it works though.

one more piece of advise i would suggest for you to contact your dentist and discussed this matter or tell him or her that will work for your you. also a sleep disorder specialist can help you out with snoring and etc. consult it as well with your regular doctor so you could understand it better... always remember consulting a doctor is always a best thing, they know exactly what will work for you and know whats best for you..good luck and take care on the news about a month ago there were some people getting a treatment where their tonsils were too big and so they had it reduced in size with a lazer, and that supposivley helped him
