If you aren't used to them they will hurt. If you had them for a while you will think the pain is going away. I don't have them but I have quite a bunch of friends who do. But I had braces in the 80's. Hopefully technology has improved braces in the past 20-something years. My brother had braces a few years ago, nad he said that it never hurt. Your teeth and the insides of your mouth will be soar for about a week but you will get over it. It's not that bad. No they dont, don't let these people scare you, the only thing that hurts about braces, is when you have to get them tightened good luck and dont be frightened Only at first but then you get used to them. when you first get them on. but after. no Braces don't really "hurt" but your teeth can be sore for a couple of days after having them put on and after periodic adjustments. But remember that if you follow all the instructions given like when to use rubber bands and head gear that you follow it because if you do you will get them off quicker!!!!! i need to know too! my friend AND mom told me that they r P-A-I-N-F-U-L!
