i gave up smoking years ago but on friday night i had a few fags and now i think i have an infection in my mouth. I wonder if it's to do with fags because last time i had a cig i was sick and sometimes i get little sore spots in my mouth. ps I only smoke very occasionaly like when i go out which isn't much.

Do you suffer from cold sores??? If you do then quite possibly. This is because with all herpes (yes cold sores are a type of herpes) they never go away but the virus becomes dormant in the nerves and will only manifest itself when the body is run down of otherwise comprimised. The cigarettes will affect the immunity in the mouth and may cause these infections
